Newcastle United transfer round up….
Karl Darlow to Leeds?
Leeds United representatives have reportedly approached Newcastle United for the possibility of signing Karl Darlow and have been told they will need to pay £4,000,000 for the services of Karl Darlow. However Leeds United only want to take Karl Darlow on a half season loan.
It is believed that Karl Darlow would only be second choice to their current goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell. Karl Darlow is looking to play competitive football again on a weekend basis but a move to Leeds under the conditions of being second choice won’t be the smartest move.
Newcastle in for Tammy Abraham?
Newcastle United have been linked with a January move for Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham. The England international forward is currently on loan at second-tier side Aston Villa and has scored 12 goals in 16 Championship games this season.
Rafa Benitez is known to be in the market for a new forward next month and is a fan of Abraham. The Spaniard had set up the framework of a deal to sign him on loan from Chelsea during the summer of 2017, after meeting with him at England’s St George’s Park.
Should Rolando Aaron’s given another chance?
Rolando Aaron’s recently returned from his loan spell with Czech Republican side Slovan Liberec after making 12 appearances and failing to register a goal or an assist during his time away.
Aaron’s has always looked a player that possess potential which is fuelled by the hype of that performance against Manchester City in the League Cup where he scored in a 2-0 victory.
To say the lad hasn’t been given opportunities would be inaccurate but offering a very injury prone player a new contract may not be the most sensible decision with the tight budget that Rafa is working with.
